Sherry Cask Finish - Cask Strength Rum

Our cask strength rum offers the unique experience of tasting our rum straight from the barrel.  Non-chill filtered there is nothing added and nothing taken away. Born from glacier-fed water from the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies and a blend of Canadian processed fancy and blackstrap molasses, our rum is distilled in a custom made Canadian copper pot still then placed in the barrels to develop a robust flavour. Matured in freshly emptied bourbon barrels from Woodford Reserve and finished in Oloroso Sherry casks imported directly from Jerez, Spain, our Romero Sherry Cask Finish - Cask Strength Rum has the passion of Spain combined with the smooth richness of a carefully crafted Romero Rum.

Tasting Notes

Our cask strength rum gives you the control. Sip neat in a nosing glass or with a bit of water. Tasting after each addition will bring about subtle changes and complexities - the bourbon barrels provide rich warming notes of caramel and butterscotch followed by hints of dried fruit, spice and pipe tobacco from the sherry-soaked Spanish barrels to bring about a long, complex and slightly dry finish.
